Mid-century design in brutalist style: Bodo Mans for Bay Keramik
Lamp base: Relief vase with incised pattern in the unglazed ceramic. Typical Bodo Mans design for the ceramic manufacturer Eduard Bay Keramik, 1960s, Brutalist style. Plain ceramic in shades of gray with beautiful flower stars as a relief pattern. Height 40 cm without lampholder, 48 cm with lampholder, diameter 22 cm at the widest point. Very good condition. Embossed base with manufacturer's identification and model number: Bay 62 40.
The opening of the vase is sealed with a high-quality brass plate and anchored with our special plug-in solution. We do not drill holes into these collectibles, leaving the vase in perfect condition. The socket is also brass-colored and comes with a matching cable (with plug and rocker switch), which leads directly into the E27 socket via an outlet sleeve. Everything is installed and tested by an electrician. The lamp can be placed on a table, sideboard, or occasional table as an eye-catcher, creating a beautiful room atmosphere.
The shade is a rolled drum shade covered with Japanese cotton fabric. The pattern is reminiscent of the Finnish Marimekko style, but is very typical of modern Japanese floral fabric patterns. Diameter 35 cm, height 42 cm.
