The "Gemma" is a lampshade made of fine real wood lamellae from oak veneer, handcrafted in Cologne. With a diameter of 20 cm and a height of 22 cm, it appears delicate and understated – but when you switch it on, it unfolds an incredibly beautiful light effect. The light shines gently through the individual lamellae without dazzling, casting an atmospheric play of shadows on the walls and ceiling.
Material & Craftsmanship
The Gemma is intricately handcrafted from fine, yet extremely stable real wood lamellae made of genuine oak veneer. Its shape resembles a natural bud. For centuries, oak wood has symbolized durability and natural beauty – its light, golden-brown tones and distinctive, straight grain give the Gemma a timeless, earthy character. In warm light, the typical oak structure with its fine pores and characteristic medullary rays stands out particularly impressively. The product has a universal E27 screw thread and can be combined with any standard E27 fitting – as a table lamp, ceiling lamp, floor lamp, standard lamp, or pendant lamp. We recommend a warm white LED with 2700K and 4–7 watts, as this light particularly complements the natural brightness of the oak wood and invites relaxation.
