The "Alma" is no ordinary lampshade. It is handcrafted in Cologne from FSC-certified cherry wood and features an organic, spiral-shaped slatted design. Each lamp is unique thanks to the natural grain of the wood.
Material & Craftsmanship
Cherry is one of the most distinctive European woods: its appearance is characterized by reddish-golden, velvety tones and a fine, even grain. The narrow, spirally twisted slats enclose the shade like the petals of an unfolding blossom. The material is FSC-certified and processed with great artisanal care. In warm light, the slats appear to be dipped in gold. Over time, cherry wood develops a deeper, honey-brown patina through natural exposure to light – the lamp becomes more beautiful, not older.
Dimensions & Function
Height approx. 28 cm, diameter 40 cm. The generous light opening on the underside provides targeted, downward illumination – ideal for dining tables, reading nooks, or coffee tables. At the same time, the spaces between the slats cast atmospheric light and shadow plays on the ceiling and walls. The universal E27 screw thread allows for flexible combinations: with suitable sockets as a pendant lamp, ceiling lamp, or floor lamp – or with any standard E27 socket.
