The "Alma" is no ordinary lampshade. This modular light, handcrafted in Cologne from FSC-certified oak wood, combines sculptural elegance with practical lighting design. Its spirally twisted wooden slats enclose the shade like the leaves of an unfolding blossom – a different picture from every angle.
Material & Craftsmanship
The "Alma" is crafted from sustainable, FSC-certified oak wood. The fine, narrow slats are made from thick veneer with a fabric structure, lending the lamp a particular lightness and delicacy despite its spherical fullness. The generous light opening on the underside provides targeted, downward main illumination, while the gaps between the slats cast an atmospheric play of light and shadow on the ceiling and walls. The oak wood's characteristic grain, with fine pores and medullary rays, is particularly striking in warm light – calm, clear, and of lasting elegance.
Dimensions & Compatibility
The "Alma" measures approximately 28 cm in height with a 40 cm diameter. The universal E27 screw thread makes it versatile: combine it with any standard E27 socket or with the separately available Gofurnit sockets as a pendant light, ceiling light, or floor lamp. All standard E27 LED bulbs can be used – a warm white (2700K) LED with 7–12 watts is recommended.
