The "Veneria" lampshade is not a mass-produced item. It is a modular work of art made of solid cherry wood, where each slat is arranged by hand – inspired by the Fibonacci sequence, as it appears everywhere in nature. In the light, the warm, reddish-golden grain of the cherry wood unfolds and creates a calming, diffused play of light between the wide and narrow wooden slats.
Material & Workmanship
Cherry wood is considered one of Europe's most characterful woods. Its fine, silky fibers and reddish-golden tones come alive in the light from within. The "Veneria" is made from robust and flexible cherry wood – a composition of wide slats framed by narrower cherry wood strips. Over the years, the wood develops an even deeper, honey-brown patina due to light exposure. The lamp matures like good wood – it becomes more beautiful with time.
Dimensions & Modularity
Height: 20 cm. Diameter selectable: 40, 50, 60, 70 or 80 cm. The socket is not included, but the shade is universally compatible with commercially available pendant, ceiling, wall, and floor sockets.
