Felt keychain

Smukbird was founded in 2019 by Manu and Bogdan out of a love for sustainable and durable accessories.

Smukbird products are manufactured in the heart of Trier's city center. The product range includes cell phone and tablet cases, wallets, gym bags, and other accessories.

Smukbird's production facility is located in Trier's city center. Experienced seamstresses make the items on the first floor of Brotstrasse 1.

Smukbird's seamstresses are hired through support programs, thus promoting the creation of inclusive jobs.

The wool for the felt is mulesing-free and comes from Australia and New Zealand. It is processed into wool felt by a felt manufacturer in Germany. This wool felt is particularly durable, wrinkle-resistant, and does not rub off.

The cotton fabrics are made from organic cotton, woven and printed by a Polish company. The organic cotton is G.O.T.S. certified.

The cork is a natural material with an excellent ecological footprint. It comes from Portugal and has correspondingly short delivery routes.

To make sensible use of fabric scraps generated during production, Smukbird has developed a doorstop as an additional product in which the fabric scraps serve as filling material. This significantly reduces waste.

Shipping is environmentally friendly and CO₂-neutral with DHL GoGreen. Returns are inspected by Smukbird and returned to sale.
