West German Pottery meets newly built light

A Vase Becomes a Lamp: Expressive 70s Ceramic Reimagined

This table lamp was created from a striking ceramic vase by the West German manufacturer Fohr from the 1960s/70s. The powerful, architectural form with a wide base, ribbed body, and symmetrical handles meets a spectacular glaze: luminous red and vibrant green gradients create a true statement object full of energy.

Material & Workmanship

The vase was converted into a lamp with care, avoiding damage – no drilling, no irreversible alterations. The socket sits on an internal fixing system with cork and a clip. For secure standing, the vase was weighted, and the opening was sealed with a high-quality brass plate. The cylindrical shade from Roomlight Studio features marbled bookbinder's paper in coral, olive, and cream – the colors echo those of the vase and enhance its expressive effect. The cordless version comes with a rechargeable E27 LED, warm white light, RGB color options, remote control, and up to 14 hours of runtime per charge (USB).

Dimensions & Features

Total height: 46 cm | Shade diameter: 25 cm. Also available with a power cable upon request.

Who is this for?

For anyone looking for a unique design object that combines statement and function – a powerful accent piece for a sideboard, console, or living room. The lamp captivates with its 70s flair, and its intensity can be further enhanced by colored LED options. A characterful unique piece that stages rooms.

Youro discovered this upcycled unique piece for you – skillfully reinterpreted, with full respect for the original ceramic.
