Rare Fohr Vase Lamp – West German Pottery Fat Lava
1960s/70s Fat Lava, Unique Piece
Rare Fohr Pottery becomes designer lamp
A rare ceramic vase becomes a designer lamp
This vase lamp combines a rare West German Pottery original from the 1960s/70s with contemporary lighting technology. The Fohr ceramic with its distinctive Fat Lava glaze is contrasted with a stylized floral pattern — a very personal unique piece for your home.
Material & Workmanship
The bulbous ceramic vase is from Fohr Keramik and features a characteristic plastic Fat Lava relief glaze over its neck, which forms a strong contrast to the light blue smooth glaze. The lampshade is made of high-quality jacquard decorative fabric with a dense, floral pattern in turquoise and blue tones on a dark background — the jacquard weaving technique creates a structured, deep-acting surface. The lamp holder is a black bakelite E27 socket, externally wired without damaging the vase. Designed for up to 120 volts / 240 watts.
Dimensions & Fit
Vase height: approx. 20 cm, width: approx. 19 cm. Lampshade size: 25 cm diameter × 25 cm height. Total height of the finished lamp: approx. 47 cm.
Who is it for?
