Solingen Precision with your wood

Razor-sharp and in your hand – Solingen craftsmanship

The Herder vegetable knife "Zöppken Style" combines traditional Solingen knife craftsmanship with modern design. With its razor-sharp blade made of rust-proof 4034 stainless steel (56–57 HRC), you can cut vegetables, fruit, and perform delicate peeling tasks effortlessly and precisely – without pressure, without effort.

Material & Workmanship

The blade is manufactured using the proven Solingen thin grinding technique, guaranteeing exceptional sharpness and clean cuts. The ergonomic handle is crafted in our own Solingen carpentry workshop from noble wood types – choose between walnut, olive, cherry, or padauk. Each knife is handcrafted and stands out with its seamless transition from blade to handle, which prevents dirt accumulation and ensures hygienic use. Laser engraving with patterns of your choice – tendrils, flowers, or mosaic – makes each knife unique.

Dimensions & Features

Total length 18.5 cm, blade length 8 cm, handle length 10.5 cm, weight 29 g. Available in three blade shapes: curved blade ideal for peeling, pointed-tip blade for precise cutting, and classic blade as a versatile all-rounder.

Who is it for?

For you, if you appreciate handcrafted quality and individual design – whether you're a design enthusiast, a hobby cook, or a professional chef. If ultimate cutting precision is important to you and you want a knife with true character that lasts long and looks beautiful.

Each knife is unique – crafted with passion, precision, and attention to detail in Solingen.
